ABOUT THE DIRECTOR
Kendra Hemminger, MS, LPCC-S
Master of Science in Clinical & Mental Health Counseling
Licensed Professional Clinical Counselor, Supervisory Endorsement, State of Ohio
Kendra received her bachelor degree in Psychology from Bowling Green State University and her Masters in Clinical and Mental Health Counseling from Wright State University. She is an active member of the American Counseling Association. Kendra made the decision to open her door for counseling services in the Troy area after hearing from some community members that there is a desire for more mental and emotional health services.
Some of her work experiences include implementing a behavior modification program as a Group Counselor at The Cleveland Clinic. She collaboratively provided horticultural therapy as a Program Guide at Pacific Quest Therapy Program in Hawaii. The few years she spent in Columbus, Ohio, she provided direct service and support for families as a Youth & Parent Mentor for Ohio Guidestone, and worked closely with the Intervention Specialist at a local high school to improve learning strategies for students. Also while in Columbus, Kendra completed an Internship in the the Marriage & Family Life Department of Vineyard Columbus Church where she was able to teach parent seminars, premarital and blended family classes, and meet with couples and families during times of transition. Kendra completed her graduate clinical internship at New Creation Counseling Center in Tipp City, Ohio.
Kendra can see clients with various presenting problems such as anxiety, depression, trauma, life transitions, and other pressing concerns. Some of her special interests include premarital counseling, as well as prenatal/postpartum counseling.
Kendra is NOT currently accepting new clients.
